Pastoral Care & Support

The pastoral ministry is primarily partnering with God in His supernatural work, connecting the bride with the bridegroom, reaching the lost and transforming their lives into the image and likeness of Jesus Christ. John 3:29.

Pastoral care is an essential part of ministry for those who serve the local church and serve through Christ's love and justice and provides emotional, social and spiritual support for those in need or who are suffering a crisis alone. This care and support can also provide nurturing through prayer. We must strive to create an environment where people feel comfortable sharing their joys, concerns, and struggles. Acts 20:28, 2 Cor 1:4, James 5:14-20, John 13: 34-35

The daily pastoral care practices are counseling, ministering, praying for the sick, hospital visits, weddings and funerals etc.

”Now, I encourage you as an elder, an eyewitness of the sufferings of Christ, and one who shares in the glory that is about to be unveiled. I urge my fellow elders among you to be compassionate shepherds who tenderly care for God’s flock and who feed them well, for you have the responsibility to guide, protect, and oversee. Consider it a joyous pleasure and not merely a religious duty. Lead from the heart under God’s leadership—not as a way to gain finances dishonestly but as a way to eagerly and cheerfully serve. Don’t be controlling tyrants but lead others by your beautiful examples to the flock.“

‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭5‬:‭1‬-‭3‬ ‭TPT‬‬
